► VitalStim
► Kinesio Taping
VitalStim Therapy is a non-invasive therapy that uses an electrical current to stimulate the muscles responsible for swallowing. It is the only FDA-cleared device for treatment of dysphagia (swallowing difficulty).
Kinesio Taping stabilizes the injured area by applying pressure to the tissues the tape is wrapped around. It allows the connective tissue surrounding the affected muscle or tendon to move along with the body.
Restorative Care
At Obion County Nursing and Rehab, our restorative care program uses a multi-disciplinary approach that includes therapy, wellness, nursing and activities. The goal of the program is to encourage wellness by focusing on what each individual can do and help improve and maintain quality of life.
